When the school year begins for your child next week there are some changes that the government is asking us to introduce. The main change is that Year 4- 6 students will need to wear masks while indoors. There is strong evidence that the correct use of masks decreases the risk of Omicron transmission.
If your child is in Year 4-6 we need your help to make sure that your child knows the correct way to wear a mask and the reasons why they need to wear them. Over the next few days can you please talk to your child about wearing masks and show them the correct way to wear a mask. Your child will need to come to school with a clean mask that fits them. The links below will help you explain the correct way to wear a mask. The mask will need to go home daily to be washed or replaced. Along with a mask your child will also need to bring a drink bottle. The drinking fountains are not able to be used. The drink bottles can be refilled at school.
Your support with these two things will go a long way to keeping all our students safe.
